		<description>I was at Defrag and I really enjoyed Andy Kessler&#039;s keynote.  I was surprised and amazed by the negative reations to the keynote during the question and answer session after the keynote.  I actually thought it was an upbeat message (I guess I&#039;m a bit slow) because, generally, when crappy and inefficient jobs are displaced by technology, the lost jobs are replaced by better, higher paying jobs.  

I guess it&#039;s human nature to resist change, and I understand the need for stability in people&#039;s lives, but clearly, to move forward economically we have to continue innovating and increasing productivity.  I was amazed how a crowd of smart people who pride themselves on &quot;creative distruction&quot; could react so negatively to Kessler&#039;s keynote.</description>
